PROSPECT

AUD $4,250

This instrument began life as my great-grandfather’s workbench — old-growth Douglas fir that’s spent generations earning its scars. Much of the character has been left intact, so what you’re holding is the history of real work - not something manufactured to look old.

The neck is carved from the same bench paired with an antique maple fretboard salvaged from a 1910 American upright piano, finished in traditional shellac.

It carries a single hand-wound bridge pickup with an Alnico 2 magnet (6.47k), delivering a vocal, woody early single coil voice with sweetness on top, blooming mids, and no ice-pick.

The snakehead profile nods to early electric design, and even the control knob comes from my great-grandfather’s workshop.

This instrument is about continuity — timber, tools, and tone passing quietly through generations, now finding a new voice.
