The Story of

Christopher Bonham is an Australian guitar maker based in Goulburn, New South Wales.

His instruments are crafted using traditional woodworking methods and reclaimed timbers, often sourced from historic Australian buildings, workshops, and antique pianos.

Chris trained in fine woodworking at the renowned Sturt School for Wood in Mittagong and later completed a trade qualification in French Polishing at Lidcombe TAFE in Sydney.

After many years restoring antiques and building commissioned furniture, he turned his focus to electric guitars — combining traditional craftsmanship, vintage-inspired pickups, and carefully selected materials to create instruments with character, history, and voice.

A Bonham Guitar is built slowly, by hand and designed to be played for a lifetime.
